Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of loop electrosurgical excision procedure(LEEP)combined with recombinant human interferon-α-2b(IFN-α-2b)gel on low grade squamous intraepithelial lesions(LSIL)caused by high-risk human papillomavirus(HR-HPV)infection of the cervix. Methods One hundred and sixty patients with LSIL caused by HR-HPV infection admitted to Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Lintao in Dingxi from January 2019 to December 2023 were randomly divided into a control group and a combination group, with 80 cases in each group. The control group was treated with LEEP,while the observation group added IFN-α-2b gel on the basis of the control group for local treatment. The improvement of inflammatory factors and the outcome of HR-HPV infection between two groups after treatment were compared. Results After 3 months of treatment, the levels of TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 and IL-10 in the combined group were lower than those in the control group, while the levels of IL-17 and IL-23 in the combined group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The negative rate of HR-HPV in the combined group was higher than that in the control group after 3 months,6 months and 9 months of treatment, while the recurrence rate of HR-HPV was lower than that of the control group after 12 months of treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of LEEP and IFN-α-2b gel could further improve the inflammatory status of LSIL patients caused by HR-HPV infection, and further increase the infection conversion rate and reduce the recurrence rate.
