Abstract:Objective To compare the sedative effects of remifentanil and propofol in oral implant surgery. Methods Sixty patients who underwent complex dental implant surgery under sedation at the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University from 2022 to 2023 were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 30 patients in each group. The control group was anesthetized with propofol, while the observation group was anesthetized with remifentanil. The remaining anesthesia maintenance and treatment plans were the same for both groups. The fluctuations in vital signs, surgical outcomes, postoperative recovery, and incidence of adverse reactions between two groups of patients were compared. Results The herat rate at T1 and T2 time point in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).However,there was no statistically significant difference in heart rate at other time points and in average arterial pressure at each time points(P>0.05).The intraoperative bleeding in the observation group was less than that in the control group(P<0.05).The onset time of sedation was longer than that of the control group, while the postoperative awakening time and awakening time were shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Rimazolen is a safe and effective sedative drug with advantages such as good analgesic effect and fast recovery speed.
