The Application Value of Hospital Targeted Nursing Combined with Continuous Nursing in Children with Leukemia Undergoing PICC Catheterization

Abstract：Objective To explore the application value of in-hospital targeted care combined with continuous care in children with leukemia with peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC)placement.Methods In this study,eighty children with leukemia using PICC catheterization and their primary caregivers(80)admitted to Shanghai Children's Hospital from January 2022 to June 2023 were randomly divided into a control group(40 children and their companions)and a continuity group(40 children and their companions).The control group adopted routine care,while the continuity group adopted in-hospital targeted care combined with continuous care.The effects were compared between two groups.Results The complication rate of children in the continuity group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Before the intervention,there was no significant difference in the scores of psychological condition[self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),depression scale(SDS)]and nursing knowledge mastery between the two groups.After the intervention,SAS,SDS and nursing knowledge mastery between the two groups were all improved significantly(P>0.05).SAS,SDS,and nursing knowledge scores were improved in both groups,and the scores of the continuity group were significantly better than those of the control group(P<0.05).The scores of the dimensions of nursing satisfaction of caregivers in the continuity group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of in-hospital targeted care combined with continuous care in children with leukemia using PICC and their caregivers can reduce the incidence of PICC complications,improve the caregiver's adverse emotions,enhance the caregiver's knowledge base and satisfaction with care,and can be promoted clinically.
