Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of ranibizumab combined with laser therapy for retinal vein obstruction(RVO)complicated with macular edema(ME).Methods A total of 85 patients with RVO-ME who underwent treatment at Shandong Linglong Yingcheng Hospital from January 2020 to March 2023 were selected as the study subjects. All patients were divided into a combination group of 42 cases and a control group of 43 cases according to different treatment plans. The combination group was treated with ranibizumab combined with laser therapy, while the control group was treated with laser therapy.Compare the efficacy, symptom improvement time, and incidence of complications between two groups,as well as the visual function before treatment and 6 months after treatment. Results The total effective rate of the combined group was 97.62%,which was significantly higher than the control group's 81.40%,(χ2=4.318,P<0.05).The absorption time, exudate absorption time, and ME improvement time in the combination group were all significantly shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).After 6 months of treatment, all indicators of visual function in both groups improved compared to before treatment, and the combination group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the combination group was 7.14%,and was lower than the control group's 13.95%,but the difference was not significant(χ2=0.446,P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of ranibizumab and laser therapy for retinal vein obstruction combined with macular edema has a better effect than laser therapy alone, and is more conducive to symptom relief and visual function improvement in patients. It is worth promoting and using.
