Effect of Biyuan Tongqiao Granules as an Adjuvant Therapy for Chronic Sinusitis

Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of Biyuan Tongqiao Granules combined with mometasone furoate nasal spray and cefdinir in the treatment of chronic sinusitis.Methods A total of 50 patients with chronic sinusitis admitted to Chengyang District People's Hospital in Qingdao from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects,and randomly divided into an observation group of 30 cases and a control group of 20 cases.The control group was treated with mometasone furoate nasal spray combined with cefdinir,and the observation group was treated with Biyuan Tongqiao Granules on the basis of the treatment scheme of the control group.Compare the treatment effects,incidence of adverse reactions during treatment,levels of inflammatory factors,negative emotions,and quality of life between the two groups before and after treatment.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 96.67%,which was significantly higher than 70.00%in the control group(χ2=5.046,P<0.05).Both groups did not experience serious adverse reactions during the treatment process.After treatment,the levels of inflammatory factors,negative emotions,and quality of life scores in both groups improved compared to before treatment,and the observation group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The Biyuan Tongqiao Granules combined with mometasone furoate nasal spray and cefdinir has good effect and safety in the treatment of chronic sinusitis,and can reduce the inflammatory reaction of the body,alleviate the patients'negative emotion,and improve the quality of life,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
