Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of acupoint application combined with collaborative nursing mode on postoperative gastrointestinal function of patients undergoing lumbar spine surgery. Methods One hundred and nine patients admitted to Liaocheng Second People's Hospital after thoracolumbar surgery from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the study objects. They were divided into control group(54 cases)and observation group(55 cases)according to different intervention programs. The control group was treated with routine intervention, while the observation group was treated with collaborative nursing mode combined with acupoint application. The intervention effects of two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the degree of abdominal distension in the observation group was significantly milder than that in the control group, and the time for first defecation, first defecation, improvement of abdominal distension, and recovery of bowel sounds were significantly shorter than those in the control group. The number of bowel movements in one week was significantly more than that in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of gastrin, motilin, and substance P in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The scores of self-efficacy,quality of life, and compliance in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of acupoint application and collaborative nursing intervention can further promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function and increase the secretion of gastrointestinal motility hormones in patients undergoing lumbar spine surgery, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
