Abstract:Objective To analyze the application effect of polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder whole gastrointestinal lavage combined with conventional catheterization in the treatment of diquat poisoning. Methods A total of 82 patients treated in the Twelfth People's Hospital of Guangzhou from August 2019 to August 2023 were randomly divided into conventional group and combined group, with 41 cases in each group. The conventional group was treated with conventional drainage treatment, and the combined group was treated with polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder based on conventional group. The treatment outcomes of the two groups were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of combined group was significantly higher than that of conventional group(P<0.05).The incidence of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, pulmonary fibrosis and mortality in combined group were significantly lower than those in conventional group(P<0.05).After 3 days of treatment, the levels of biochemical indexes and inflammatory factors in both groups were significantly decreased compared with before intervention, and the combined group was significantly lower than the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder combined with conventional drainage in the treatment of diquat poisoning patients could significantly reduce the incidence of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, pulmonary fibrosis, and mortality, and it could also reduce the levels of biochemical indicators and inflammatory factors.
