Effect of Implementing Comprehensive Nursing Mode for PICC Patients in Hematology Department

Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of comprehensive nursing mode in patients with peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC)in hematology department.Methods A total of 92 patients who underwent PICC and received comprehensive nursing mode in the Hematology Department of Liaocheng People's Hospital from June 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the observation group,and 34 patients who underwent PICC and received routine nursing mode in the Hematology Department of our hospital during the same period were selected as the control group.Observe and compare the incidence of complications and nursing satisfaction between two groups,as well as their self-care ability and quality of life before and after intervention.Results After intervention,the self-care ability and quality of life scores of the two groups were significantly higher than before intervention,and the observation group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group,and nursing satisfaction was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing comprehensive nursing for PICC patients in the hematology department can reduce the incidence of complications,improve their self-care ability,quality of life,and nursing satisfaction,and is worthy of clinical promotion and use.
