Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of low-temperature plasma resection in the treatment of children with tonsils and adenoid hypertrophy. Methods Sixty children with tonsils and adenoid hypertrophy who were underwent surgical treatment at Fuqing Hospital from June 2021 to December 2022 were selected. All children were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional methods to remove tonsils and adenoids, while the observation group was treated with low-temperature plasma resection to remove tonsils and adenoids.Observe and compare the treatment effects, surgical related indicators, and incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The observation group had significantly shorter surgical time, postoperative pain time, and symptom relief time than the control group, and significantly less intraoperative bleeding than the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion For children undergoing tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy,low-temperature plasma resection has a more ideal clinical effect and is worth promoting and using.
