Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of graded and staged rehabilitation training based on Newman system model on shoulder motion and cancer-induced fatigue in patients undergoing radical mastectomy. Methods Ninety-three patients with radical mastectomy in Jiandou Center Health Center of Anxi County from June 2019 to June 2022 were selected as the study objects and divided into control group(46 cases)and observation group(47 cases)by drawing lots. The control group accepted joint loosening technique intervention, and the observation group accepted graded and staged rehabilitation training based on the Newman system model. The shoulder joint motion,post-traumatic growth and the degree of cancer-related fatigue of the two groups were observed. Results At the end of 2 months after intervention, the levels of shoulder joint abduction, forward flexion and backward extension, appreciation of life, new possibilities and interpersonal relationship scores in two groups were significantly higher than those in control group. The scores of behavior, emotion and perception in observation group were significantly lower than those of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of patients undergoing radical mastectomy, graded and staged rehabilitation training based on the model of Newman system can adjust the range of motion of shoulder joint, improve post-traumatic growth, regulate the level of cancer-induced fatigue through the principle of gradual progression.
