Abstract:Objective MRI axis was used to study the relationship between spinal canal,DSCA and features of the yellow ligament and degenerative spinal stenosis(DLSS).Methods In this retrospective study,a total of 90 patients diagnosed with DLSS in Fuzhou Second Hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the observation group, and another 90 patients without DLSS in our hospital during the same period were selected as the control group. The MRI imaging changes of spinal canal cross-sectional area(SCA),dural sac cross-sectional area(DSCA)and ligamentum flavum thickness(LFT)in the two groups were compared. The VAS score,CA,DSCA,and LFT of each subgroup in the observation group under different degrees of stenosis were compared. The correlation between SCA,DSCA,LFT and DLSS was analyzed by Spearman correlation analysis. Results The SCA and DSCA in the observation group were significantly smaller than those in the control group, and the LFT in the observation group was significantly thicker than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in low back pain, leg pain and lower limb radiation pain among mild group, moderate group and severe group(P>0.05).SCA and DSCA in mild group were significantly higher than those in moderate and severe group, and LFT in mild group was significantly lower than those in moderate and severe group.SCA and DSCA in moderate group were significantly higher than those in severe group, and LFT in moderate group was significantly lower than those in severe group(P<0.05).The Spearman correlation analysis shows that LFT is positively correlated with the degree of DLSS,while SCA and DSCA were negatively correlated with the degree of DLSS(P<0.05).Conclusion MRI axis can be used to assess the degree of lumbar spinal stenosis. With the reduction of SCA and DSCA and the thickening of LFT,the degree of DLSS becomes more severe
