The Study on the Regulating Effect of Modified Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction on Postoperative Chemotherapy Patients with Breast Cancer

Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of modified xiangsha liujunzi decoction on nutritional status,immune function and quality of life in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy after surgery.Methods A total of 80 patients with breast cancer who received chemotherapy after operation in Lintao County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Dingxi City from January 2018 to December 2022 were collected and randomly divided into control group and observation group with 40 patients in each group.Both groups received continuous EC-T regimen chemotherapy,while the observation group received modified xiangsha liujunzi decoction on the basis of the treatment.The improvement of nutritional status,immune function,and quality of life between the two groups before and after 42 days of treatment were compared.Results After treatment,the hemoglobin,albumin,and globulin in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The CD4+,CD8+,and CD4+/CD8+ in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The emotional,physiological,social/family,and functional scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Modified Xiangsha liujunzi decoction can regulate the gastrointestinal function of breast cancer patients underwent postoperative chemotherapy,thus improving the nutritional status,immune function and quality of life of patients in the multiple cycles of chemotherapy,which is worthy of clinical application.
