Abstract:Objective The aim of the study was to assess the effect of sublingual immunotherapy(SLIT)on Lund-Kennedy score and quality of life in patients with allergic rhinitis(AR).Methods A total of 92 dust mite-allergic patients were selected from Yongchuan Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from January,2020 to December,2020.All patients were randomly divided into SLIT group(n=46 cases, routine treatment+SLIT therapy)and control group(n=46 cases, routine treatment). The clinical treatment effects were compared between two groups. Results Lund-Kennedy score, symptom scores, drug score and quality of life score were significantly decreased after two-year treatment in both groups(P<0.05).After two-year treatment, all indexes in SLIT group were significantly lower than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion SLIT combined with drug therapy can obtain more significant effects than single drug therapy in AR patients, and improve the Lund-Kennedy score and the quality of life.
