Application of Serum Pepsinogen and Gastrin Levels in Assessing the Risk of Early Gastric Cancer
SHENG Yijie
Abstract:Objective? To explore the application of serum pepsinogen, gastrin and Helicobacter pylori antibody levels in assessing the risk of early Gastric cancer in healthy population. Methods? A retrospective analysis was conducted in 532 patients with gastric diseases admitted, which were recruited in the health medical center, Dalian Municipal Central Hospital from June 2017 to April 2019. Fasting peripheral venous blood was collected and the levels of PGⅠ, PGⅡ and G-17 were detected by fluorescence immunochromatography. Results? According to gastroscopy and pathological examination, the subjects were divided into gastric cancer group and non-gastric cancer group. Serum PGⅠ in gastric cancer group was significantly lower than that in non-gastric cancer group, and PGⅡand G-17 were significantly higher than those in non-gastric cancer group (P<0.05). Conclusion? Serum levels of PG and G-17 can be used as potential early detection targets for precancerous state of gastric cancer. Further examination is recommended when PGⅠ decreases and G-17 increases.
