Clinical Application of Isokinetic Muscle Strength Training in Hemiplegia of Lower Extremities After Stroke
YANG Cuiling
Abstract:Objective? To explore the clinical effect of isokinetic muscle strength training in stroke patients with lower limb hemiplegia. Methods A total of 66 stroke patients with lower limb hemiplegia admitted to Shenyang Second Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2017 to October 2018 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, 33 cases in each group. Both groups received routine rehabilitation training. The observation group was given isokinetic muscle strength training at the same time. After 3 weeks of intervention, the lower limb motor function, peak moment of knee flexor and extensor, the fastest walking time of 10 meters and daily living ability were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of lower limb motor function, peak moment of knee flexor and extensor, 10 meters fastest walking time and daily living ability in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Isokinetic muscle strength training for stroke patients with lower extremity hemiplegia can improve knee flexor and extensor muscle strength, which is conducive to the recovery of lower extremity function and the improvement of daily living ability.
