Abstract:Objective? To compare and analyze the effect of mifepristone and medroxyprogesterone acetate in the treatment of uterine cavity residual after induced abortion. Methods? From January 2018 to December 2018, a total of 86 patients with residual uterine cavity after induced abortion in Enliang Hospital of Tai’an County, Anshan City, were selected and divided into observation group and control group, 43 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with mifepristone orally, while the control group was treated with medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets orally. The clinical efficacy, mean decrease of blood beta-HCG, mean decrease of intrauterine residue and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results? The total effective rate was 95.35% in the observation group, and significantly higher than69.77% of the control group (χ2=9.771, P<0.05). The incidence of complications was 2.33% in the observation group, and significantly lower than 18.60% of the control group (χ2=6.081, P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in mean decrease of blood beta-HCG and mean decrease of intrauterine residue between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion? Mifepristone is superior to medroxyprogesterone acetate in the treatment of residual uterine cavity after induced abortion. It can be widely used in clinic.
