Application of Roy’s Adaptation Model in Hospitalized Tuberculosis Patients
FU Keyan
Abstract:Objective? To explore the application of Roy’s adaptation model in patients with tuberculosis (TB). Methods? A total of 160 TB patients admitted to our hospital from 2015 to 2018 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, 80 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing intervention, while the observation group received Roy’s adaptive nursing intervention. The intervening time of both groups was 60 days. The nutritional levels (blood ions and vitamins) and quality of life (SF-36) were compared between the two groups after intervention. Results? The levels of vitamin A, B12, C, D, E and blood ion potassium, sodium, calcium, chlorine and phosphorus in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The SF-36 scores and total scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion? Compared with the traditional nursing intervention, Roy adaptive nursing intervention can improve the nutritional level and quality of life in tuberculosis inpatients, which is worthy of clinical nursing application.
