Predictive Value of C-reactive Protein and Cholinesterase in Peripheral Blood for Post-operative Infection of Multiple Fractures
LIU Jing
Abstract:Objective? To analyze the predictive value of C-reactive protein (CRP) and cholinesterase (CHE) for infection after secondary surgery for multiple fractures. Methods? Ninety-two patients with multiple fractures admitted to our hospital from 2015 to 2019 were divided into control group (63 cases) and observation group (29 cases) according to the occurrence of infection after second operation. The levels of CRP and CHE were compared between the two groups, and the predictive value of CRP and CHE were evaluated using ROC curve. Results? The levels of CRP and CHE in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The area under ROC curve (AUC) of CRP combined CHE was significantly higher than that of CRP or CHE alone (P<0.05). Conclusion? The levels of CRP and CHE in patients with infection after secondary operation in multiple fractures will increase before operation, and CRP combined with CHE were valuable marker for predicting infection.
