Effect of Rehabilitation Training Combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in the Treatment of Stroke Hemiplegia

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of rehabilitation training combined with traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture in the treatment of stroke hemiplegia. Methods A total of 120 stroke hemiplegia patients were collected from Shenyang Second Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from May 2017 to June 2018. All patients were divided into observation group (N=60 cases) and control group (N=60 cases) according to random table method. The control group received traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture treatment, and observation group received rehabilitation training based on traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. The muscle strength, Fugl-Meyer scores, Barthel indexes, and total effect rates were observed and analyzed. Results The total effect in the observation group was 81.67%, and was significantly higher than 60.00% of control group (P < 0.05). The muscle strength, Fugl-Meyer scores, and Barthel indexes were significantly improved after treatment in both groups, but observation group got more improvement than control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The rehabilitation training combined with traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture is effective in the treatment of stroke hemiplegia, which is worthy of clinical application.
