Abstract:Objective? To observe the effect of low dose glucocorticoid continuous reduction combined with indomethacin continuous increment in the treatment of subacute thyroiditis (SAT). Methods A total of 92 patients with SAT admitted to our hospital from 2017 to 2018 were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 46 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with prednisone (glucocorticoid) continuous reduction method and indomethacin (indomethacin) continuous increment method, while the control group was treated with indomethacin alone. The levels of ESR, FT3, FT4 and TSH were compared between the two groups. Results The disappearance times of thyroid pain and swelling in the observation group was significantly shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). For blood analysis, ESR and TSH in the observation group tended to be stable at D3 time point, while those in the control group tended to be stable at D4 time point; FT3 and FT4 in the observation group reached the lowest at D3 time point, and those in the control group reached the lowest at D4 time point. Conclusion Low-dose glucocorticoid continuous reduction combined with indomethacin continuous increment therapy for SAT can quickly relieve clinical symptoms and promote the recovery of erythrocyte sedimentation rate and hormone levels.
