Problems and Countermeasures on Quality Control of Chinese Herbal Pieces in Hospital in Zhaoqing City

Abstract：Objective? To propose the improvement strategies about problems on quality control of Chinese herbal pieces in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) pharmacy of our hospital by investigation and analysis. Methods A total of 139 disqualification batches of Chinese herbal pieces in TCM pharmacy in our hospital were selected from Oct., 2016 to Jun. 2018. All pieces were investigated and analyzed in terms of source, preparation, packaging, keeping and storage, and so on. Results In 139 disqualification batches of Chinese herbal pieces, 14 batches (10.1%) has problems in sources, 85 batches (61.2%) in preparation, 9 batches (6.5%) in packaging, 31 batches (22.3%) in keeping and storage. Conclusion In view of the problems of quality control of Chinese herbal pieces in our hospital, we should adopt corresponding improvement strategies to improve the quality control of Chinese herbal pieces.
