Abstract:Objective? To explore the effect of swallowing function training on dysphagia in patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Methods A total of 167 AD patients with dysphagia admitted to our hospital from 2014 to 2018 were randomly divided into control group (84 cases) and observation group (83 cases). The two groups were treated with Memantine Hydrochloride Tablets and Donepezil Hydrochloride Tablets routinely. The control group was treated with routine nursing, while the observation group was treated with swallowing function training on the basis of routine nursing, including voice training, breathing training, cold stimulation, empty swallowing and rotation swallowing training. The standard swallowing assessment scores (SSA) before and after intervention was compared between the two groups. Results Before intervention, there was no significant difference in SSA score and total score between the two groups (P>0.05), after intervention, there was significant difference in SSA score and total score between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Swallowing function training can significantly improve the swallowing function of AD patients, which should be paid attention to in daily nursing.
