Abstract:Objective? To investigate the clinical effect of absorbable screw in the treatment of avulsion fracture of greater tubercle of humerus. Methods A total of 74 patients with avulsion fracture of greater tubercle of humerus admitted to our hospital from June 2014 to June 2017 were randomly divided into screw group and plate group, 37 cases in each group. In the screw group, absorbable screw was used for operation, and in the plate group, anatomical plate was used for operation. The operation condition, the range of motion and functional score of shoulder joint in the two groups were compared after 6 months. Results The operation condition and shoulder joint function score inscrew group were significantly better than those of plate group (P<0.05), while there was no significant difference in shoulder joint activity between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Compared with traditional anatomical plate, absorbable screw internal fixation in the treatment of humeral tuberosity fracture has less surgical injury and more functional recovery of shoulder joint after operation.
