Abstract:Objective? To explore the clinical effect of probiotics in the treatment of ulcerative colitis. Methods From January 2017 to April 2018, a total of 60 patients with ulcerative colitis were divided into observation group and control group according to different treatment methods. The control group was treated with mesalazine, and the observation group was treated with mesalazine combined with probiotics. Results The total effective rate was 90.0%, and significantly higher than 76.7% in the control group (χ2=1.92, P>0.05). After treatment, the colonoscopic scores of the two groups were significantly improved (P<0.05), and the improvement in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group (P< 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups during treatment (P>0.05). Conclusion Probiotics as adjuvant therapy for ulcerative colitis can improve the therapeutic effect and will not increase the incidence of adverse reactions, which it is worth popularizing.
