Comparative Study of Ultrasonographic Diagnosis between Invasive Breast Ductal Carcinoma and Invasive Lobular Carcinoma

Abstract:Objective? To compare the ultrasonographic characteristics between invasive breast ductal carcinoma and invasive lobular carcinoma, so as to provide a basis for non-invasive diagnosis. Methods A total of 149 cases of invasive breast cancer admitted to our hospital from 2015 to 2018 were retrospectively selected. According to the postoperative pathological results, all patients were divided into invasive ductal carcinoma group (83 cases) and invasive lobular carcinoma group (66 cases). The ultrasound imaging characteristics of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results There were significant differences in the tumor morphology, edge and microcalcification on ultrasound images between the invasive ductal carcinoma group and the invasive lobular carcinoma group (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in internal echo, rear acoustic shadow and blood flow between two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion The invasive breast ductal carcinoma had more microcalcification, while the invasive lobular carcinoma had more irregular morphology and burriness signs under ultrasonography. The above characteristics can be used as the basis of ultrasonic differential diagnosis to assist preoperative diagnosis.
