Abstract:Objective? To investigate the relationship between survival time and pathological factors and chemosensitivity in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer. Methods A total of 72 patients with epithelial ovarian cancer were selected from June 2010 to December 2012 in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Yingkou Renai Hospital. Their medical records were analyzed retrospectively. The pathological histological types, pathological stages, histological grading and chemosensitivity of the patients were analyzed, and the relationship between survival time and clinical features was evaluated. Results There was no significant difference in the mean survival time among patients with different histological types (P>0.05). The mean survival time of patients with stages I and II was significantly longer than that of patients with stage III and IV (P<0.05); and the mean survival time of patients with histological grading G1 was longer than that of patients with G2 and G3 (P<0.05). The average survival time of chemosensitive patients was longer than that of chemoresistant patients (P<0.05). Cox regression analysis showed that pathological staging and chemosensitivity were independent risk factors for prognosis in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer. Conclusion The prognostic survival time of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer is closely related to the pathological stage and chemosensitivity . Suitable treatment regimens should be chosen to improve the survival time of patients with different pathological stages.
