Abstract:Objective? To explore the clinical effect of large dose vitamin C in the adjuvant treatment of viral myositis in children. Methods A total of 104 children with viral myocarditis admitted to our hospital from 2016 to 2018 were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 52 cases in each group. Both groups received comprehensive treatment, such as ribavirin antiviral therapy, coenzyme A and creatine phosphate to promote myocardial metabolism, while the observation group was treated with large dose vitamin C to improve myocardial metabolism. Myocardial enzymes were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results There was no significant differences in the levels of lactate dehydrogenase, creatine kinase, creatine kinase isozyme, glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase, troponin I and troponin T between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05), there was significant differences in the levels of the above indicators between the two groups after treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion On the basis of routine comprehensive treatment, high dose vitamin C can further reduce the level of myocardial enzymes in children with viral myocarditis, which is worthy of clinical application.
