Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of computer-assisted three-dimensional reconstruction combined with 3D printing technology in the treatment of mandibular defects. Methods From September 2015 to March 2017,a total of 64 patients with mandibular defect, who underwent repair and reconstruction in Department of oral and maxillofacial surgery in Dalian Stomatology Hospital, were randomly divided into observation group(computer-assisted surgery) and control group(traditional surgery) according to different treatment methods. The operative time, intraoperative blood loss, therapeutic effect and satisfaction between two groups were observed and compared. Results The operation time and bleeding volume in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05).After treatment, the grade I recovery rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the satisfaction degrees in appearance recovery, chewing and pronunciation function was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Computer-assisted three-dimensional reconstruction combined with 3D printing technology can repair mandibular defect accurately. The clinical effect is good and the patients' satisfaction is high, which is worth popularizing.
