Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of gemcitabine combined with cisplatin adjuvant chemotherapy on operation and prognosis for patients with stage Ⅲ non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Methods A total of 72 patients with stage Ⅲ non-small cell lung cancer admitted to the Fifth People's Hospital of Dalian from January 2015 to June 2016 were divided into control group and observation group,36 cases in each group according to different treatment schemes. The control group received surgical treatment directly, while the observation group received gemcitabine combined with cisplatin chemotherapy before operation. The resection rate, postoperative complications and 2-year survival rate between the two groups were compared. Results The total resection rate in the observation group was 91.7%,which was higher than 72.2% of the control group(χ2= 4.599,P < 0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications was 16.7% in the observation group and 22.2% in the control group(χ2= 0.355,P > 0.05).The 2-year survival rate in the observation group was 55.6%,and is significantly higher than 30.6% of the control group(χ2= 4.589,P < 0.05).Conclusion Gemcitabine combined with cisplatin adjuvant chemotherapy before operation can effectively improve the resection rate and survival rate for patients with stage Ⅲ non-small cell lung cancer, and has good clinical application value.
