Therapeutic Effect of Levosimendan on Acute Heart Failure and its Effects on Liver and Kidney Function for Elderly Patients

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of levosimendan on elderly patients with acute heart failure and its effects on liver and kidney function.Methods A total of 62 elderly patients with acute heart failure admitted to the General Hospital of Shenyang Military Command from August 2016 to July 2018 were selected and divided into control group(33 cases) and observation group(29 cases) according to different treatment methods.The control group was treated with routine treatment,while the observation group was treated with levosimendan on the basis of the routine treatment.The therapeutic effects and the effects of levosimendan on liver and kidney function between two groups were compared.Results After 7 days of treatment,there were significant differences in heart rate,respiratory rate and other cardiac function indexes between the two groups(P < 0.05),but there was no significant difference in liver and kidney function(P > 0.05).Conclusion Levosimendan can effectively improve the cardiac function for elderly patients with acute heart failure without affecting the liver and kidney function.It is worth popularizing.
