Application of Staged Health Education in Patients Undergoing Subtotal Gastrectomy

Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of staged health education in patients undergoing subtotal gastrectomy.Methods A total of 83 patients who received subtotal gastrectomy in Panjin Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from 2014 to 2018 were randomly divided into observation group (42 cases) and control group (41 cases).The control group was given routine health education and nursing,and the observation group was given staged health education.The recovery and quality of life between two groups were compared.Results The recovery time of intestinal peristalsis,ambulation time and hospitalization time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P < 0.05).Each dimension score and total score in quality of life in observation group was significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of staged health education is better than traditional health education in patients undergoing subtotal gastrectomy,which is worthy of reference for nursing workers.
