Effects of Wechat Education Model on Continuous Nursing in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients

Abstract：Objective To explore the effects of Wechat education on quality of life and blood glucose control in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Methods From January, 2017 to December, 2017, a total of 90 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were divided into control group (45 cases) and observation group (45 cases) randomly. After discharged from hospital, the control group was given routine healthy education and the observation group was given Wechat education. All the cases were followed-up for 3 months. The living quality and HbA1c level before and after nursing education were compared between two groups. Results After intervention, the scores of life qualityand HbA1c level in observation group were significantly lower than control group (P<0.01). Conclusion Wechat education is better than routine healthy education in continuous nursing for type 2 diabetes mellitus patients, deserving clinical extensive application.
