Investigation on Occurrence Time and Nursing Strategy of Massive Hemoptysis in Tuberculosis Patients

Abstract：Objective The aime of the study is to retrospectively analyze the clinical data of pulmonary tuberculosis patients with massive hemoptysis, to explore the rule of onset time, and to propose targeted nursing measures. Methods A total of 61 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis complicated with massive hemoptysis admitted to our hospital from 2010 to 2017 were analyzed retrospectively. The medical records of all patients were analyzed by consulting the cases. The inquiries included hemoptysis volume, hemoptysis attack time and season. Results Hemoptysis volume ranged from 130 mL to 190 mL, with an average of (147.3±23.6)mL. The incidence of massive hemoptysis was 44.26% in autumn and 26.23% in winter, the peak time was a.m. 6:00-8:00 and p.m.18:00-20:00, accounting for 27.87% and 24.59% respectively. Conclusion Nursing workers should predict the severity of tuberculosis in the period of high incidence of massive hemoptysis, and could carry out targeted nursing after the occurrence of massive hemoptysis.
