Effect of Immediate Repair and Delayed Repair on Soft Tissue Around Implant in Aesthetic Area
YANG Hong
Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of immediate and delayed repair on soft tissue around implants in aesthetic area. Methods From February 2015 to December 2016, a total of 70 patients (70 teeth) with single tooth defect or missing in aesthetic area were selected and divided into control group and observation group, 35 cases in each group according to different repair time. Delayed repair was performed in control group and immediate repair was performed in observation group. The subjective satisfaction on the soft tissue around the implant and the aesthetic effect scores at different time points were compared between two groups. Results The subjective satisfaction score (except color) in observation group was significantly higher than control group (P < 0.05). The aesthetic effect score in observation group was significantly higher than control group (P < 0.05), but there was no significant difference in the esthetic effect score between two groups after 1 year follow-up (P > 0.05). Conclusion Compared with delayed repair, immediate repair can effectively promote the recovery of soft tissue around the implant, and can improve the aesthetics of the surrounding tissue, which is easy for patients to accept.
