Clinical Evaluation of Ultra-thin Porcelain Veneer and Traditional Porcelain Veneer on Anterior Dental Aesthetics Repair

Abstract：Objective To compare the effect of anterior dental aesthetics repair using ultra-thin porcelain veneer and traditional porcelain veneer. Methods From June 2016 to June 2017, a total of 78 cases (78 teeth) underwent anterior tooth repair in Wang Zhongqun Dental Clinic were divided into the observation group and the control group, 39 cases in each group. The control group adopted the traditional porcelain veneer technique, and the observation group adopted the ultra-thin porcelain veneer repair technique. The repair effect in two groups was observed and compared after 6 months and 1 year. Results The repair effects in two groups showed no significant differences after 6 months (χ2=1.625, P > 0.05), but the repair effect in two groups was significantly different after 1 year (χ2=5.186, P< 0.05). Conclusion The ultra-thin porcelain veneer for aesthetics repair can effectively repair anterior teeth defects, and its long-term effect is better than that of traditional repair methods.
