Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of Yujin Xiaoyin Decoction combined with calcipotriol in the treatment of psoriasis and its influence on interferon (IFN) and interleukin (IL) in peripheral blood. Methods A total of 84 patients with psoriasis, which were collected from Shenyang Second Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from April 2015 to August 2017, were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table (42 cases in each group). The control group was treated with Yujin Xiaoyin Decoction only. The observation group was treated with Yujin Xiaoyin decoction combined with calcipotriol ointment. Both groups were treated for 3 months. The therapeutic effect, peripheral blood IL, IFN-γ, psoriasis area and severity index (PASI) were compared before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate was significantly different between two groups, 95.24% in observation group and 78.57% in control group(χ2=5.126, P<0.05). The levels of IL-2, IL-4 and IL-10 in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05) after treatment. The levels of IFN-γ and PASI scores after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment in both groups, and the decrease degree in observation group was significantly more than control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Yujin Xiaoyin Decoction combined with calcipotriol is safe and effective in treatment of psoriasis, and can improve IL and IFN levels in patients, which is worth popularizing.
