Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of high quality nursing for elderly patients with inguinal hernia undergoing surgical treatment. Methods From June 2016 to December 2017, a total of 100 elderly patients with inguinal hernia who underwent surgery in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University were randomly divided into observation group and control group (50 cases in each group). All patients underwent laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair surgery. The control group received routine nursing care, and the observation group received high quality nursing care on the basis of the control group. The nursing effects between two groups were compared. Results After nursing, the scores of the Self-rating Anxiety Scale and Hamilton depression scale were improved in both groups, and the improvement degree in observation group was significantly better than control group (P<0.05). The incidence rate of postoperative complications in observation group was significantly lower than control group(P<0.05), and the nursing satisfaction degree in observation group was significantly higher than control group(P<0.05). Conclusion For elderly patients with inguinal hernia undergoing surgery, we should provide high quality nursing, which can effectively improve the negative emotions of patients, enhance nursing satisfaction degree and reduce the incidence rate of postoperative complications.
