Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effects of retention enema and external application with Hongteng decoction residue in treatment of chronic pelvic inflammation. Methods A total of 79 patients with chronic pelvic inflammation were collected in our hospital from 2015 to 2018 and divided into observation group (40 cases) and control group (39 cases) randomly. The control group accepted levofloxacin and tinidazole, while the observation group accepted retention enema and external application with Hongteng decoction residue based on that. We compared the inflammatory markers, hemorheological parameters and uterine hemodynamic indexes. Results The leukocyte count, C-reactive protein, procalcitonin, interleukins-6, high shear blood viscosity, low shear blood viscosity, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, resistance index, pulsation index, and mean blood flow velocity were significantly different between two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion The Hongteng decoction could effectively improve the inflammation, and systemic and local blood flow in chronic pelvic inflammation, which is valuable to be promoted.
