Effect Observation of Shengxian Decoction as Adjuvant Therapy for Chronic Pulmonary Heart Disease

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical effect of Shengxian Decoction as adjuvant therapy for chronic pulmonary heart disease (cor pulmonale). Methods A total of 127 patients with cor pulmonale admitted to Panjin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 2014 to 2018 were randomly divided into observation group (63 cases) and control group (64 cases). The two groups were treated with conventional western medicine, and the observation group was treated with Shengxian decoction on the basis of conventional western medicine. Results There were significant differences in FEV1.0 between two groups after 1 month treatment (P<0.05), and there were significant differences in FEV1.0/FVC between 1 month and 2 months treatment (P<0.05). There were significant difference in symptom score between two groups after 1 month and 2 months treatment (P<0.05), and there was significant difference in physical sign score after 1 month treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion On the basis of routine western medicine treatment, Shengxian Decoction, as adjuvant therapy of cor pulmonale, can significantly improve the respiratory function and alleviate various clinical manifestations in a short period of time, which is worthy of clinical application.
