Effect Analysis of Ezetimibe in Treatment of Adult Mixed Hyperlipidemia
SONG Anning
Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of ezetimibe in the treatment of mixed hyperlipidemia. Methods A total of 79 patients with mixed hyperlipidemia admitted to our hospital from 2016 to 2018 were collected and randomly divided into observation group (40 cases) and control group (39 cases). The control group was treated with single atorvastatin and the observation group was treated with ezetimibe and atorvastatin. The blood lipid indexes in two groups were compared before and after 12 month treatment. Results There were no significant differences in total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL, HDL, apolipoprotein A and apolipoprotein B levels between two groups before treatment (P>0.05). The difference in total cholesterol and LDL levels after treatment was significant (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference in triglycerides, HDL, apolipoprotein A and apolipoprotein B (P>0.05). Conclusion Ezetimibe may enhance the efficacy of atorvastatin in treatment of mixed hyperlipidemia, but only in lowering total cholesterol and LDL.
