Abstract:Objective To compare the diagnostic efifcacy by X-ray and ultrasound in breast cancer at early stage (Tl and Tis).MethodsTwo thousand and forty-ifve cases of female breast cancer at early stage in the Third People's Hospital of Dalian from January, 2011 to August, 2014 with complete imaging data were analyzed retrospectively. The diagnostic efficacy of X-ray and ultrasound was compared.ResultsThe overall detection rates of breast cancer by X-ray and by ultrasound were 97.2% and 96.5% respectively, and the difference between them was of no statistical signiifcance (P > 0.05). The accuracy rates of breast cancer of scattered ifbroglandular type, fatty type and heterogeneous type by X-ray were higher than those by ultrasound, and the differences were statistically signiifcant (P < 0.05). However, the accuracy rate of X-ray examination of dense breast cancer was lower than that of ultrasound, and the difference was statistically signiifcant (P < 0.05).ConclusionFor different types of breast cancers, X-ray and ultrasound have their own advantages, and they can be combined properly to promote the diagnostic accuracy.
