Abstract:Objective To observe effects of stretch socks for preventing venous thrombus on prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) after cesarean section.MethodsThree hundred women who accepted elective cesarean section in Shenyang Women’s and Children’s Hospital from January to March in 2016 were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 150 cases in each group. Patients in the observation group wore the stretch socks for preventing venous thrombus from 24 hours before the cesarean section to 48 hours after the cesarean section, while the control group were given routine nursing care.ResultsThe incidence of DVT was 0.67% in the observation group, while that of the control group was 6%. The difference was statistically signiifcant (P < 0.05).
