Abstract:Objective To study the clinical effect of total hip replacement in the treatment of femoral neck fractures in elderly patients.MethodsNinety-ifve cases of elderly patients with femoral neck fracture were selected in Dandong Central Hospital from 2010 to 2013 and randomly divided into observation group (48 cases) and control group (47 cases). The control group received femoral head replacement, while the observation group received total hip replacement. The operation situation and the range of motion of hip joint of the two groups were compared. ResultsThe operation time, intraoperative blood loss and postoperative drainage volume of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were of statistical signiifcance (P< 0.05). The activity of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically signiifcant (P< 0.05).ConclusionTotal hip replacement in the treatment of femoral neck fractures in elderly patients is superior to femoral head replacement, but the surgical trauma is large. Rational choice is supposed to be made clinically according to the actual situation of the patients.
