Abstract:Objective To investigate the efifcacy and safety of ziprasidone and clozapine combined with lithium carbonate respectively in the treatment of mania.MethodsSixty-two patients with mania were selected from Kunming Mental Hospital from June 2014 to June 2015, and they were divided into observation group and control group with 31 cases in each group according to the parity of the tail number of patients’ admission number. The observation group were treated with ziprasidone combined with lithium carbonate, while the control group were treated with clozapine combined with lithium carbonate. The therapeutic effect and safety of the two groups were compared.ResultsThe total effective rate of the observation group was 87.1%, while that of the control group was 83.9%. The difference was not statistically signiifcant (P > 0.05). The incidence rate of adverse reaction of the observation group was 3.23%, which was lower than that of the control group (19.35%). The difference was not statistically signiifcant (P > 0.05).ConclusionThere is obvious effect on the treatment of mania with ziprasidone combined with lithium carbonate, and there is less adverse reactions and higher security. Ziprasidone combined with lithium carbonate in the treatment of mania is worthy of clinical promotion.
