Analysis of Infection Factors after Bone Surgery

Abstract:Objective To investigate the related factors of postoperative infection in bone surgery and to provide the basis for the prevention and management measures.MethodsOne hundred and thirty-six patients who received bone surgery in Shenyang No. 245 Hospital from April 2013 to April 2015 were selected, in which 34 cases of infection after operation were analyzed.ResultsThe postoperative infection rate was higher for the patients over 50 years old, with high body mass index, underlying diseases, open fractures, typeⅢ surgical incision, intraoperative blood transfusion and longer hospital stay.ConclusionGreat attention should be paid to the patients of old age, with underlying disease, obesity and open fracture during the surgery, infection prevention measures should be well taken, the incision wound is supposed to be reduced, transfusion should be avoided, and the operation time should be shortened as far as possible, by which the incidence of infection after surgery can be reduced if at all possible.
