Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of continuing nursing care in patients with type 2 diabetes. MethodsEighty patients with type 2 diabetes in Xinbin Manchu Autonomous County Hospital of People of Fushun City from February 2014 to December 2015 were selected. Patients were divided into routine nursing group and the continuing nursing group with 40 cases in each group according to the different nursing methods. The glycemic control target rate, the degree of satisfaction of nursing, the self-nursing behavior score after discharge, and the blood glucose levels and levels of glycosylated hemoglobin at discharge and six months after discharge of the two groups were compared respectively.ResultsThe control target rate of blood glucose of continuing nursing group was 90.0%, and the nursing satisfaction rate was 92.5%. Blood glucose control rate and nursing satisfaction of routine nursing group were both 75.00%. The differences were statistically signiifcant (χ2 = 4.354 and 4.501 respectively,P< 0.05). There was no statistically signiifcant difference between the two groups of blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin levels at discharge (P> 0.05). Six months after discharge, the degree of the improvement of the blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin levels of continuing nursing group was obvious compared with that of the routine nursing group, and the differences were statistically signiifcant (P < 0.05). The self-nursing score of continuing nursing group was much higher than that of routine nursing group after discharge. The differences were statistically signiifcant (P < 0.05).ConclusionThe continuing nursing towards the patients with type 2 diabetes is effective, improves the patients’ ability of self-nursing, improves the blood glucose level with high satisfaction and is worthy of promotion and application.
