Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the correlation between helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection and hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c) in patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods250 cases of T2DM were retrospectively analyzed for the correlation between Hp infection and hemoglobin A1c.Results The positive rate of Hp was 74.0%. The levels of HbA1c in Hp positive patients were signiifcantly higher than that of Hp negative patients. There was a negative correlation between Hp infection and levels of HbA1c.ConclusionThere was a negative correlation between Hp infection and levels of HbA1c in T2DM patients, which provides a new theoretical basis for prevention and treatment of T2DM in the clinical.
