Levels and Signiifcance of Von Willebrand Factor in Patients with Acute Exacerbations of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Abstract：Objective To investigate the levels and signiifcance of plasma von Willebrand factor(vWF) in patients with acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AOCEPD).Methods The levels of plasma vWF of 24 healthy persons and 86 patients with AECOPD were detected.ResultsThe levels of plasma vWF in patients with AECOPD were signiifcantly higher(P<0.05) than that of healthy persons, and there was a significant difference(P<0.05) among different classification of severity in patients with AECOPD. Conclusion The increased levels of plasma vWF prompt endothelial cell injury and dysfunction, which would cause adverse effects on the treatment and prognosis of patients with AECOPD.
