Abstract:Objective To investigate the value of endobronchial ultrasound-guided needle aspiration biopsy(EBUS-TBNA) in the diagnosis of mediastinal and hilar lesions. Methods The data of 132 patients with mediastinal and hilar lymph nodes were reviewed who examined with EBUS-TBNA and the Lung enhanced CT. The patients who underwent the EBUS-TBNA examination with no comifrmed diagnosis, underwent thoracoscope, mediastinoscope, or biopsy for further diagnosis. Results 121 cases had been confirmed with EBUS-TBNA examination, 92 of whom had malignant lesions, 29 had benign lesions, and the diagnosis rate was 91.6%. The sensitivity, speciifcity, and accuracy of EBUS-TBNA in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of mediastinal and hilar lymph nodes were 90.3%, 100%, and 94.7%. All patients tolerated well, and didn't have related complications. ConclusionFor lesions of mediastinal and hilar lymph nodes, EBUS-TBNA was a safe and effective diagnosis method.
