Abstract:In 1996, Ganger [1] performed the first totally endoscopic parathyroidectomy, marking the beginning of a new stage in the clinical application of endoscopic thyroid and parathyroid surgery. After 30 years of continuous improvement in surgical instruments, perfection of the endoscopic equipment system, and ongoing progress in treatment techniques and concepts, totally endoscopic thyroid surgery (TET) has gradually gained widespread recognition from both thyroid surgeons and patients due to its better cosmetic outcomes and clear efficacy in tumor resection and lymph node dissection [2].
